Because the garage is an incredibly creative space. If someone takes old and unnecessary stuff to the garage, for us, it’s a place where innovations are born. By the way, a reminder:
- Google — the world’s most famous search engine was launched in Susan Wojcicki’s garage in September 1998.
- Apple — Steve Wozniak made the first Apple computers in Steve Jobs' parents' garage.
- Amazon — in 1994, Jeff Bezos founded Amazon as an online bookstore, and his garage in Bellevue, Washington, served as an office, warehouse, and everything else.
- Microsoft — when Bill Gates and Paul Allen founded their company, they had little money and worked in a small garage.
- Dell — Michael Dell began building custom computers in his garage in 1984.
- Walt Disney Company — the great studio founder started making cartoons in his uncle Robert’s garage.
